Short and sweet tonight (although I am very proud of myself for posting freebie Friday on an actual Friday - hee hee). Here is a cheery little to do list to brighten up the task! There are three to a page that you can cut out and staple together if you so choose.

Freebie Friday
Let's pretend it is still Friday ok? Delusions are my modus operandi these days.
I have been seeing this pattern around and, thanks to my good friend Katy, have been drooling over it on cushions mainly. So, I thought it would be fun to make a printable scrapbooking paper design with it too. Enjoy!

Better late than never and a quotable quote free printable
I never got around to discussing the whole New Year and all that it usually entails. Resolutions and so forth I mean mostly. The New Year just kind of whooshed past taking January and February along with it, it seems.
Well, I like to say that I don't make resolutions but, truthfully, I make dozens of them! In fact, I could just trot the same ones out every year really. So, in the spirit of resolution making, I have made one more. To not make so many resolutions! ha ha. Here is my very short list:
1. To become a wealthy business owner who has scads of people to do all the dirty work for her.
2. To grow very long legs.
3. To own a private jet so I never have to wait in line at customs, immigration and security with the other 400 people who just exited planes ever again. EVER AGAIN.
Oh wait, that's not my list!!
Here it is:
1. To learn how to use my mobile phone (tragic but true).
2. To learn how to access my home voicemail (again, tragic but true).
3. To appreciate the joy in the ordinary day to day minutae of life.
Spot the hard one. Oh, you have trouble with your mobile phone too? :-)
Anyway, back to the distant memory that was New Year's, I started off my year with this quote which is my motto for this year and I am going to share it with you as a free printable. Better late than never I (too often) say. It is framed and up on my mantle so I can remember my intention and I thought you might find it inspiring as well. This file has four pages - a different colour for each page. If you desperately want a different colour just let me know and I can do that easily. Oh, I am trialling a different file sharing facility here this time as well so let me know if you have any problems with accessing it.
Free quote by Howard Thurman
Hope you enjoy it and I hope it inspires you this year as well!
Update: I actually started writing this post in the middle of January and you will all be ecstatic to know that I can now access my home voicemail! Yay, progress!! I knew you would sleep better knowing that....

Another free printable invitation - Snails and Mushrooms
I actually designed this one before the butterfly one (before I thought to ask what the birthday party theme for my friend's daughter was going to be - d'oh). I really like this design too. Enjoy! Download below:

Play dough land
I have made plenty of play dough (or play clay - whichever way you prefer) over the last few years. I have been very happy with the recipe I have but it always turned out a little gritty because of the salt. My recipe had me adding the salt at the same time as the flour but I read somewhere ages ago (sorry, nameless person, I can't remember where) this recipe where they added the salt to the water first and heated it before adding the flour. This seemed like a great idea as the salt might dissolve first and therefore solve my 'gritty' problem. The only trouble with the recipe I was reading was I didn't want to add the flour to a hot liquid mixture as it seemed to me that would produce a very lumpy result. So I just added the salt to the cold water and stirred for awhile until a lot of salt had dissolved (it doesn't all dissolve but enough does). It worked like a dream and I ended up with beautifully soft and smooth play dough. This is a great play dough for younger children too as I find many of them are too stiff for the little ones.
Here is the recipe and instructions if you want to print it out: Homemade Play Dough (Play Clay).
Doesn't my picture up the top of this post look lovely? That is the staged shot... Here are the real play table happenings. Ah, that is more like it!
Ewww, play dough intestines....
I used the salt from our layered salt activity which is why we have odd colours. We are moving soon and I didn't want to waste our pretty salt.

Free Printable Paper - More Dots!
I can't seem to get away from dots right now. Just about everything I design or want to make has polka dots in there somewhere. Not sure why but what the hey. Here is another dotty design. This file has three pages with different colourways. Enjoy! I am going to start a pattern of the month and, once I work out how to redesign my blog with 3 columns I will put them there for easy access.
Paper - Dot Grid
p.s. did you notice my cool Easter header designed by my darling daughter? she is so adorable and so proud of her design for my blog.

A (very belated) Happy New Year! and some free calendar printables
Whoo! That was quite a break. And, look, the world kept going.... :-)
I won't go on about my holiday as that feels like ancient history already. Suffice to say, we had a good break and I am feeling all motivated to get my crafty hat back on now. I have been a bit slow to get started this year though with the holiday and getting over the jetlag on our return so I am offering a free printable wall calendar beginning in Feb. I needed one so I have made one and thought I would share it with you. To hang it, I printed it on card stock then hole punched it at the top. I made a wire hanger so I can change the months easily but you could also just thread some ribbon through to hang it from. I will try to get a photo of the wire hanger I made tomorrow.
The download has March as well and there are lines for the bottom of each week (and in between Friday and Saturday) but I can't fix this picture for some reason. Blogger is acting a bit weird right now so not sure what is going on.
Update: There was a little glitch with the lines on the March page download for some reason. This is now fixed...

More free printable Dotty Stems/Flowers!
Ok, there are 3 designs in one document here. I have done yellow, red and orange colourways (on the screen the yellow and orange don't look that different but they do once printed). Enjoy! You can download them here. Hmmm, will be putting my thinking cap on for Christmas designs now....

Free prints - Love or Boo
I have been seeing these types of prints around on the internet and in magazines so thought I would whip up a couple. I really like the Love one and then thought of doing a cute one as a very light nod to Halloween below (Halloween is not very big in Australia). I can think of loads of different words to do now. You can download one or both of these here:
If you want to make one up yourself using a different word, you can do what I did and use Powerpoint. I applied a background colour and then added each letter in a separate text box (so I could arrange the letters touching one another), changed the text colour to white, centred them, made them a size I liked and arranged them, printed them out and popped them in the frame. The font I used is Mirisch (I got it from www.dafont.com). I really need to find a better (prettier) spot to photograph things! Don't mind my radiator... (look away now Karen).

Decorative camping paper & writing set
I decided to make a full sheet of my camping themed 'doodles' and you can click below to get that too.
Paper - Camping
I used a sheet to line some envelopes so I could make a matching set of stationery.
To line the envelopes, just turn your page over, use an envelope to outline your basic shape.
Cut around that but inside the line by about half a centimetre.
Apply glue to the back of the paper and pop it into the envelope.

Camping writing paper - free printable
Update: I think it is working now, please let me know if it isn't!!
I designed this a few days ago. I did some little doodle drawings and thought they would look cute on some writing paper so I thought I would share seeing as I ran out of good light this afternoon to photograph my next felt flower project. I have no idea why I was drawing these as I have never even been camping (and it is not likely in the near future). Maybe with spring finally here my thoughts are turning to the outdoors and imagining what other people might be doing there anyway! lol.
You can download it here (there are two A5 sized writing sheets per A4 sheet - I will work on the Letter sized one too):

Owl bookmarks to match!

Princess E loved the bookplates so much I decided to do some bookmarks as well using our little owl characters. You can download them here:
I did a double sided one which includes space on the back for you to write down words you don't recognise, make notes etc. I was inspired to include the little note part by these cool bookmarks from the lovely blog blogroomshop. For mine, just print them, cut them out, fold in half and glue. I also did one with a hole punch and some ribbon and another one with the decorative scalloped edge across the top and bottom just to change them up a bit. I need to have about 100 for Princess E as they are distributed from one end of the house to the other.
Owl bookplate free printable

I designed this for a good friend of mine so decided to share it with all my good friends online as well! You can download the PDF here:
I print them out on sheet labels so you can cut, peel and stick. You can just cut them out straight as they are or you can use decorative edged scissors like I have done here. Enjoy!

Play tickets free printable
Here is another free printable. This one is for the kiddies. I have occasionally hand drawn little tickets for my kids and they get so much fun out of something so simple. Miss E used to use one as a 'bus ticket' to school (in our car) and now A likes to collect tickets to allow entry past him at the stair gate at the top of our stairs. I really have no idea why they love them quite so much but it inspired this download and I hope you find a kid who likes them too. Update: I have a great friend who did the PDF for me in the cool font (just in case you visited when the plain font was up - if not - ignore this part!).
You can download them here:
Some tips for cutting them out. The shape can be a bit of a pain to cut out so just cut them into rectangular strips and use a hole punch to cut out the notches. May not be perfect but definitely the easiest way!
Also, I have a guillotine with a perforated blade that I use for the joins so they can pull them apart themselves. You could also use a sewing machine (without thread obviously) for the same effect. Or just cut them of course....
